DIY Network: Shells Galore Meets Home Decor

July 05, 2012   //  Posted in: Beach, Decor, DIY, HGTV + DIY Network Projects   //  By: Emily   //  2 responses

I assembled some pieces of custom home decor this week while in a feverish mood to accent the home with some subtle beachy accents. As opposed to traditional frames, these new hanging pieces of art are displayed in customized shadow boxes: An easy and fun alternative for a multitude of projects.

You can read about the whole project right here on DIY Network. Go see it for yourself (and then make your own summery-beachy-decor for your own home)!

P.S. If you missed it earlier in the week, I also wrote about my beloved shiplap headboard. You can read about that process over here.

Love it! What a great deal $$ too! Question…(I should know this because I read your blog regularly, but…) did you make the wooden frame that is to the left of the starfish and other shell shadow box? (The one with the picture of the birds on a phone line)? I love that one too!

Thanks Mindy! I did make that other wooden frame, although I probably didn’t write about it on the blog. I created it custom using reclaimed real 2×4 boards to fit the horizontal print that Amber Perrodin sent me!
