In the interest of letting you into my house a little more than I already have, check out the below images for an aerial view of each floor. It’s always more enjoyable for me to read about home design and improvement when I “know” the configuration of the space being written about.
The ground level of my foursquare home is a simple kitchen/living room/dining room design.I love the sunroom on the east side of the house, although being just a three-season room, it’s shut down right now. I wish my kitchen countertop was light wood (it’s really black/gray, but they didn’t offer a countertop like that on floor planner). The deck? Looks huge. And that second pergola off the sunroom still needs to be built.
And… here’s the less interesting second floor! Yes, the guest room (bedroom #2 a.k.a. Cody’s Room) really is that barren. The gray box shown is a desk that’s being stored in there. Eventually (hopefully in the next few months) it’ll be an actual guest room. Looking forward to that (as are guests, I’m sure). There’s a real staircase behind closed doors for easy attic access, but nothing much is up there now since I have nothing to store. Of the three closets on the floor, only one has a door, but it hasn’t been a problem so far. Oh yes, and that blue rug represents the only carpeting currently in my house (dog fur and my carpets haven’t mixed, and Cody obediently stays out of my room [almost always]).
I’m still hoping to work on landscaping in the next few weeks (need to put the bulbs in… like… now), so once some plans for gardening beds are formulated, I’ll remember to share those this same way!
