I stumbled upon some really pretty wrapping paper at a market in San Francisco this fall. Actually, I thought that it was a poster when I bought it, but after 10 people asked me during my travels “Where’d you get that wrapping paper?” I finally checked the price tag (FYI – a mere $3.95) more closely to see that the UPC description read something like “WrapPpr”. I think my instincts to use this as a poster were right though, because I just tried out the stock in a pretty (rugged) steel frame that I have (sidenote: one of the best garage sale finds ever at just $5). I’m digging my new art right now (the painting I had in there previously really needed a nice matte added, but this is cool as-is, mat-free, I think). And, the faint light blue background ties into the walk-in closet’s ceiling and Cody’s room, so maybe this will find a nice home on a wall upstairs.
(And how weird is this – I saw this same “poster” framed when I was at the library a few weeks ago?! No lie, I’ll snap a photo next time.)
