Learning how to make my own custom mats for framed photos, prints, and Anthropologie catalogs has been on my to-do list for a long time. I’ve tried many-a-different DIY technique using scrap paper, scrap mat board, clamps, rulers, butter knives, pumpkin-carving knives, utility knives, you name it, but I never produced anything worthy, and certainly not anything that was flawlessly beveled.
All efforts left me feeling like I wasn’t quite precise enough, because without the right tools, I wasn’t.
But now, thanks to DIY Network and my hot little Logan Classic Cutter, the art-framing-world is my oyster. They turned out amazingly. You can read the whole tutorial right here on DIY Network.
