I’m on a mission to get some serious kitchen staining done this afternoon, so I’m just popping in with a quick, but important note:
Today we’re celebrating the 4th birthday of our favorite furry companion, Sir Codeman!
Last night, we made a special dog treat “cake” of biscuit bricks, peanut butter mortar, and a perched Beggin’ Strip candle, because what would a birthday party be without a little unhealthy indulgence:
And gave him a manicure or pedicure (depending on how you perceive furry paws):
Julia made him the sweetest handmade birthday cards that any almost-six-year-old could create by themselves. Note the dog bone balloon:
Could there be another little girl who likes drawing hearts more than this one?
Sentiment’s right on. He’s a special buddy.
Now it’s time to squeeze in an extra-long birthday walk to his favorite hydrant. Have a great weekend, bark bark.

Happy birthday, Cody!! And, Julia, that’s the best dog birthday card I’ve ever seen.
:) Arf, arf.
What a sweet card! I love the abundant use of “I love you’s” and “dog’s”. So cute!
Crazy cute stuff going on with her design.
The other BEST dog in the world, Gordon, sends his Happy Birthday wishes to his cousin.
