Best Christmas Ever.
I’m taking some time off until the new year for good reason: Pete and I were married Monday afternoon, Christmas Eve, on what would have been the 63rd anniversary of my grandparents’ wedding day. With no formal wedding party and 85 of our family and friends, we celebrated intimately, ate amazingly, and partied readily into the evening.
Thanks to our friends and family who made this day very special. And huge thanks to my cousin Matt who was ordained online to officiate our wedding, to our photographer who has already shared a few unedited snapshots of our day including the one shown above, and to Rochester’s own Preferred Plants for daring to host our event and for creating an unmatchable space.
Our friends were invited to share their excitement with us by tweeting and instagramming using the hashtag #merrywedding, and for that, we have a plethora of cool images that you can enjoy immediately. I’ll be popping in over the next few weeks with posts pertaining to the DIY projects that I completed for our winter wedding, but for now, we’ll be celebrating quietly and enjoying a few days “off”. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
