To all of you, have a very Merry Holiday weekend. 2011 has literally (litch-rully) been the best year ever, and it gives me great reason to look forward to 2012.
Without further ado, I made a little video. Turn up the volume. Enjoy.
If you get a hankerin’ to make something like that for yourself someday (think: as party invites, for birthday wishes, for the occasional hello), the whole video was filmed on our Canon G12; the camera itself was attached to a tripod, balanced over the edge of the dining room table, and left to video record me manipulating the assorted wood blocks and scraps to form messages. If you want a behind the scenes visual, here I am, crouched under the table, which was the easiest angle to film at so I didn’t block the natural sunlight.
Have an amazing weekend, all of you, and enjoy the snow falling gently on the site, thanks to Pete. And if the blizzardy distraction angers you, no worries, it’ll be gone on Monday.
Thanks to Naive Theives and Summer Twins for allowing me to use your great song. It’s been in my head for a month. (Download it here for free via freeindie.com)
