Even craft projects involving kids can teach you a few things, like how to interpret moon phases creatively and where to find a great selection of birch and poplar panels. This week’s project for DIY Network could have gone any number of ways, but I like where we ended up with it, because it looks great in Julia’s room and I do love challenging the alleged all-purposefulness of our favorite sandpaper. What have you and your family made together lately? And side note, where can I buy mammoth sheets of prickly Velcro?
P.S. The temps have ranged from 7-degrees to 65-degrees over the past week, which means I’m thinking less about my favorite wintertime activities and more about landscaping. I wrote a little bit about it in this post on DIY Network.
