Most of the projects we have queued up would be way more enjoyable to do when the temps are warmer, so instead of tackling exterior painting, staining, planting, edging, or cleaning, we indulged in weekend escapades to our favorite getaways: the outlet mall and The Home Depot. Livin’ large.
Heavy research was done in the way of ballet flats and router tables. I splurged on irresistable yellow patent leathers and a new palm router (the compact Makita you see in the foreground of the photo), as well as two new router bits that I’ve been itching to try–keyhole and dovetail–thanks to a few lingering gift cards. I could basically spend all day in this aisle of any hardware store, assessing the bits and add-ons to these little gadgets, comparing the nuances that make them different (and sometimes dramatically more expensive) and thinking up umpteen million new projects I want to try.
So much DIY is about to go down. How was your weekend? Project-intensive or freeing as can be?
