Me, announcing now that I had never (ever) been to worldmarket.com might be as astonishing as if I had said that I’ve never been to Zappos. As a girl who loves unique, fun, and affordable home decor (and shoes), stumbling across this site (I wish I could remember which magazine I found a reference in – either Country or Coastal Living) was like finding a gold mine.
Here are some thing I’m coveting:
Carpeting:
When Cody moved in, I made the decision to sacrifice carpeting. Dog fur, chewing (which thankfully he’s outgrown), mud, that dog smell that carpeting traps, I didn’t want any of it. What has interested me is a nice indoor-outdoor carpet, since most of them can (allegedly) be washed off with soap & water. This one would go wonderfully in the dining room, since the floor in there gets quite a bit of traffic because of the sliding glass door to the deck.
Kitchen stuff:
If these Fleur de Lys glasses didn’t get such poor reviews, I’d totally have bought them. Very me. I could use more glasses. These tortoise-shell glasses are pretty too. Also, I’ve been searching for plain white dinnerware sets lately, and this set, made in Portugal, is accentuated with some pretty details.
Lighting:
I own one lamp. And it was something abandoned by a tenant in one of the previous apartments I inhabited. I would like more, but they aren’t high on my list because of all of the ceiling lighting that’s already installed in the house. Here are some that I like the looks of: The stainless tripod lamp is just classic and not unlike something you’d see in West Elm or CB2, also coming in a tall, floor lamp version. I’m thinking that this purple glass one would be perfect on my bedroom dresser. And, because before next summer, I’d like to accumulate some string lighting to adorn the new deck pergolas with, these frosted bulbs intrique me (simple, lovely, and are reminiscent of the lighting at christmas tree farms this time of the year – which I’m sort of obsessed with the looks of).
Has anyone bought from them? Any other cool treasures uncovered?
