I don’t know why I decided to post these photos now, it’s been over three months since I took them, quick snapshots to remember the state of our old house as we left it, and to further serve the purpose of remembering what the space looked like before our tenants moved in.
Glancing back through them, I realized there are some photos of completely different angles that you probably haven’t seen before. Photos I snapped from corners that were once occupied by furniture, rooms that I had never taken pictures of while they were completely empty before. I never left the blinds pulled fully up either, so there’s a special daylight brightness factor contributing to the way the space looks and that makes it look a lot different to me.
Also, it’s probably never looked cleaner.
Enjoy.

I really do love the color scheme – the grays, mustards, contrasted by the bright white . It’s warm, yet neutral enough to not clash with a tenant’s belongings. And thank goodness none of that default builder basic beige! I still especially love the ombre on the stairs. (It’s still there, right?)
And, you’re right. Those are some clean shiny floors.
Ombre stairs are still there :) No paint colors have changed, though I don’t think I’d be opposed to swapping out the mustards with something a little less my style… still not boring though, maybe a emerald green, or just a solid color of the mustard tone (not two-toned in the living room). A rental I lived in many years ago was magenta and orange and lime and purple and I still remember how refreshing it was to be in a place with that palette after being in beige and white untouchable units.
